This is a graphite drawing on vellum I just finished of my goddaughter holding her "American doll" sitting on a rock made of granite. The frame is made from bass wood and I used a electric dremel hand tool and various carving knives to cut out the letters, music notes, lamb on the bottom left and cross circling the world on the bottom right. I finished it with a two-tone grey stone fleck spray to resemble the granite she's sitting on.
I entered the picture in our local annual arts competition and it won a merit award and $100. I included the web-site here if someone would like to see it: http://www.caldwella...y-october-2011/
