"Evy"

    "Evy"

Hi everybody...this here is a portrait of my little nephew Evan John. This was originally supposed to be another present for my youngest sister, as she's been beggin me to do one of him for a while now. With Christmas coming closer and closer...I had to set it down cause I felt as though I was rushing it through...so instead, I bought her an antique frame, with the note "Insert Your Drawing of Evan Here...in a couple of days" I waited a couple more days and would pick it up, put it back down, pick it back up again and so on. I developed a love-hate relationship with this drawing. Somedays I like it...somedays not so much lol. This is my first attempt at drawing an open smile on anyone, much less a toddler, which I think little kids are difficult to draw. But I'm gonna keep on practicin till I can get it down. Just wanted to share with you guys again, and keep you updated on some things I've been workin on. Take care everybody...and warm wishes!

    This is beautiful
This is great Jeremy and the way that you have captured the open mouth for the first time is perfect and the only way to improve and as you mentioned is to continually practice. Take care and keep loading so that we can see you continually improve warm wishes...
Such a cutie! You've done a great job Jeremy, I am sure that your sister was thrilled! I love the hair... shading on the shirt is fantastic. The mouth is excellent, especially considering this is your first attempt at an open mouth. I know that Cindy will have some tips to help you even more. That is what it's all about...challenging ourselves, pushing our limits and learning something from each artwork... so that we are continually improving. Well done Jeremy!
This is wonderful, Jeremy...his smile is infectious! I know the love/hate relationship you speak of very well. In fact, I think that it's a necessary part of the process. If we loved everything we did, what would make us seek to improve?
