This was originally supposed to be another present for my youngest sister, as she's been beggin me to do one of him for a while now. With Christmas coming closer and closer...I had to set it down cause I felt as though I was rushing it through...so instead, I bought her an antique frame, with the note "Insert Your Drawing of Evan Here...in a couple of days" I waited a couple more days and would pick it up, put it back down, pick it back up again and so on. I developed a love-hate relationship with this drawing. Somedays I like it...somedays not so much lol. This is my first attempt at drawing an open smile on anyone, much less a toddler, which I think little kids are difficult to draw. But I'm gonna keep on practicin till I can get it down. Just wanted to share with you guys again, and keep you updated on some things I've been workin on. Take care everybody...and warm wishes!

It seems like forever since I've posted anything here, but I wanted to share it with you guys. This is a portrait of my little niece that I gave to my older sister for Christmas this year. For some reason, this picture was different for me. I always seem to struggle with portraits, and get easily frustrated as I try to get the likeness down. I stayed connected to my ipod with the easy sounds of piano tones, which I love by the way, blaring in my ears lol. I didn't try to overanalyze this one, and instead just focused on the drawing. Suddenly, with time slipping away, all the lines and tones just kind of fell in to place...and I was done

It took me close to 3 hours to complete. This is me, just holding a regular dishtowel. I'm not really sure what inspired me to draw this, but I really wanted to practice on my folds. This is drawn entirely freehand, just me staring away at my hand. My fingers were so stiff afterwards, as I never put my pencils down until I was finished...ohhh the things we do for art

I do apologize for the quality of the picture. It was taken with my phone.
It took alot of thought and alot of time but alas...I am so excited to have this complete!
