Cornelia UrlassUnder no circumstances did I feel that I could learn to draw. When I started picking up a pencil again to draw something for the first time in almost 40 years since art class in school, I was at a loss and didn’t want to ruin the beautiful paper.

Cindy quickly helped me understand that it’s not about talent, but about understanding a few basic rules then I began to see it more as a craft, something I’m familiar with as the daughter of a craftsman who was also very good at drawing. Only when someone has mastered their craft can creativity unfold and produce a result that makes them happy. After all, just scribbling something on paper wasn’t the goal – I wanted to create something beautiful.

In the beginner’s course Mentored 1, I was able to learn these basic rules – in a wonderful way with Cindy by my side. Later in the next Mentored follow ups, I also tried other materials. In addition, I began to “hide” other messages in my pictures and picture titles that some people see and others don’t.

I never would have thought that one day (and relatively quickly with Cindy’s method) I would be able to create the pictures that were then created, some of which hang on the walls of my apartment or those of other family members.
