I was just so excited to share this coloured pencil drawing with you all today! I know it’s only an exercise in our course but really it looks fabulous as an abstract artwork. Well done to my mentored level 1 student Gerda Snyers who is working diligently through my Coloured Pencil Bootcamp.
In this drawing Gerda has created a beautiful Tetradic Colour Scheme with excellent application in the hard edge style (not easy to achieve, takes patience and even pressure on the pencil al the way through) and a wonderful organisation of shapes.
Great work here Gerda!
Yes, very nice! I’d love to see the entire drawing. I recently started using colored pencils myself and they have many possibilities with a few drawbacks.
I think Gerda’s done a wonderful job of uniting bright colors with graceful shapes and a good composition.
