A Botanical Before and After

Here’s a great before and after example created by our DrawPj mentored student Tracie Walters.

In the drawing below you can see her level of ability when she first came to us and below that you can see how she is drawing now.

This is what Tracie had to say about her experience with drawing the image above;

‘Although this is from Sue Vize’s book “Botanical Drawing using Graphite and Coloured Pencil”, I used what I learned in Cindy’s course to draw it. I started with elipses for tubers. When I began to draw all those little roots that go everywhere, I could actually hear Cindy’s voice in my head (complete with her accent since I am American)saying “What a lovely little curve.” True story…lol…’
